Let’s talk briefly about one of the common myths regarding Pay-to-Play websites in the voiceover industry:

You know that Spring is close when jobs like this start coming in….here’s one for the Trackmaster by Equibase…it’s an Iphone/Android app for racehorse handicapping….and they’re off!
Thanks to my colleagues at Dynamix Productions for the opportunity to voice this project!

Yep, it was at about this time a year ago that the VO world and the world in general
was abuzz about the story of Ted Williams, who went from the streets to the studio

Thanks to everyone who helped make the Rob Ellis Voiceover Holiday Happy Hour 2011 a success! It has been so busy since then that this is really the first chance I’ve had to post.

Thanks again!

It’s great to be doing more work with Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and Mills Films.

Wow, I am excited to be the voice of Hocking College’s current ad campaign….here
is the commercial….

I was fortunate to recently voice part of an ad campaign for Columbusregion.com.
It was great to work with the good folks at Vital Film Works on this one!
Here is the end result:

I recently did a voiceover job for a search engine based in Tampa/St. Petersburg, XL411.com

Given that the XL411.com “mascot” is the animated character BINX…does this qualify as my first animation job? Hmmm…

In voiceover, we are always making some kind of a pitch, aren’t we?
We make a pitch to the potential client, and then that client, if they
hire us, has us make a pitch to his/her client…and on and on….
But this recent job took “making a pitch” to an entirely new level for me…..
